Following the announcement by clinicians at 56 Dean Street, Europe’s busiest Sexual Health clinic, that showed 393 new diagnoses of HIV were made between January and December 2016, compared to 679 during the same period in 2015, Lord Black said:

Lord Black appointed new Chairman of the Royal College of Music

The Royal College of Music (RCM) is delighted to announce that it has appointed Lord Black of Brentwood to the position of Chairman of Council, effective from August 2017.

HIV and hepatitis C

During a debate in the House of Lords about HIV infection on the 1st December,  Lord Black raised the problem of co-infection with HIV and hepatitis C. He also asked what steps the government are taking to also identify, diagnose and treat people who are co-infected with HIV and hepatitis C.
